When you have a baby, one of your shower gifts is usually an adorable set of teeny-tiny washcloths. But very soon, those washcloths get worn down, and very used, and then it's just not enough. And once your baby is a toddler, and eating real food and making real messes, you're at a loss. I recommend: TONS of white washcloths. I bought mine at WalMart, so they were cheap. We keep them in the kitchen, and at the end of each meal, the twins get wiped with a clean one, then it's used to clean off the highchair tray. We go through 3-4 each day (but that's with twins), then they're thrown into a bucket under the sink until they get washed in hot water. Once in a while, I wash the whole bunch with bleach to turn them white again. Voila!

great idea - thanks! it is unbelievable what a mess those little ones can make!
This is a great tip! I like to use burp rags...it sure saves on paper towels!
GREAT idea! We go through so many paper towels that I am going to try this for wiping up after meals.
I do that too. It's great to just have a big stack and never run out.
