I try to avoid Target, I really do. I’m one of the many, many people who can’t go into Target without spending way too much money on things that were not on the list. So I go about once a month, with something specific in mind and all three kids to make the trip short. My Target has a pretty good grocery section; it’s not a SuperTarget with meat and produce, but it has a large freezer section and good prices on dairy products. My latest find is this big bag of Tyson Chicken Breast Tenders. Using the $1.00 off coupon from the 9/7 newspaper and the $1.00 off Target store coupon from AFullCup’s Target Coupon Generator, I paid only $2.79. For comparison’s sake, I looked for these at Safeway too; the regular price there is $7.99, and occasionally they’re on sale for $5.99. The regular shelf price at Target is only $4.79, already a better deal without coupons. I usually make my own chicken tenders, for health and frugality’s sake, but I couldn’t pass this up for a few busy nights.

You are so funny. I just wrote the exact same thing about Target a few days ago. They are getting some great deals but my biggest problem is wandering and getting out of there with only what I went in for and nothing more. I do think that the longer I coupon and list make the better I have become at not making to many impulse purchases. However Target is so colorful and fun with lots of clearance items. Smile
