Hope you’re having a great Friday night! Tonight I’m celebrating my birthday with a virtual birthday party, complete with food, gifts and giveaways!
For years now I’ve been trying to find the recipe to copy a cake my mother-in-law made for my birthday once upon a time. I think this might be it. Chocolate cake (of course), but with chocolate sour cream frosting. The tanginess was unusual and made it sooooo good. Help yourself–there are no calories in a virtual cake. Eat all you want!
As for my birthday gifts, how about this owl pendant? How cute is that?! If you haven’t checked out Etsy, there are so many unique jewelry pieces and handmade goodies there. I got this Mommy Necklace for Christmas with the kids’ initials, and I just love it. Another appropriate gift–the I Love CVS t-shirt. But since we’re shopping with virtual money, we might as well go all out and get me an iPhone. I mean, clearly, I need one. I could be at Target trying to buy something and stop and look up Amazon’s price to figure out the better deal. Oh, wait, who is watching my kids? Exactly. That’s when this happens. So the better fantasy gift is really a FREE housekeeper, or at least someone to keep up with my laundry.
