Yard Sale Finds


The rain started up pretty early Saturday, so I was only able to hit a few yard sales before I headed home. Still, I grabbed a few things that have been on my list--books and puzzles to keep the kids busy this summer. I'll keep them hidden away until later in the summer when we just need something new, or there's a string of bad weather keeping us from the pool. I paid .50 for each puzzle, $2.00 for the set of lacing cards, $1.00 for a stack of 10 coloring books, and $5.00 for 20 consecutive Magic Tree House books (my son will be thrilled!). Total spent was $11.50, and this will get us through a lot of "Mom, I'm bored" moments. The coloring books are especially useful for long car rides, waiting rooms at the dentist and doctor, and

love your finds. as a teacher of young children, the lacing cards caught my attention, sweet!

My aunt found those same lacing cards for her granddaughter this past Saturday also. I have never seen them before and it is now my mission to find a set for my girls. They are so cute.
