I haven’t been shopping at Giant much, mostly because I’ve cut down how many shopping trips I’m doing with the kids home for the summer. That, and the lack of deals, but this week’s ad looks promising. With the current $5 off $15 meat purchase coupon, there are some great deals to be had:
Petite Sirloin Steak is $2.99/lb in the Big Pack of 3lbs. or more. Use the $5 off $15 meat purchase coupon.
Super G Whole Chicken is .79/lb in the twin pack. If you don’t know what to do with a whole chicken, Trent at The Simple Dollar will tell you. If you’d rather not turn on the oven, use your slow cooker a la Stephanie at A Year of Slow Cooking. Either way, you end up with lots of leftover chicken to top summer salads, make sandwiches, etc. And you can use that meat coupon on chicken, too.
**Yes, the coupon says one per customer. If you want to buy more than $15 worth, just make hubby go with you and get in line behind you. Or go to a second Giant since they’re everywhere (at least in NoVA they are).
And some non-meat deals:
Blueberries are $1.25/pint, limit 4.
Romaine or Red or Green Leaf Lettuce is BOGO at .99-$1.29/head.
Hebrew National Beef Franks are BOGO at $5.29, and you can print a $1.00 off one here. Print two and you’ll pay $3.29 for two packs.
Kellogg’s Cereal (very specific varieties) are $2.00/box. There was a coupon for $1.00 off Froot Loops and Special K in the 6/7 paper. If you have enough coupons to buy 10 boxes, you’ll qualify for a $10 rebate from Kellogg’s. If you had 10 of the $1.00 off coupons, that would make all 10 boxes FREE after coupons and rebate.
Planter’s Big Nut Bars are $2.50, and there was a .75 off coupon way back in the 4/19 paper which will double, making them $1.00.
