According to this press release, Target is now offering Price Matching on competitor’s ads in store. This is great news! You’ll have to purchase the product at Target’s price, then take it to the Guest Services desk with a local ad advertising the same product in order to receive the price adjustment.
I always appreciate when a store does price matching, like Best Buy, Home Depot, Office Depot, Pet Smart, Staples and Walmart. Although it’s a little effort to check the ads and bring one in for the price match, it saves me time and money compared to visiting a second store. Depending on where you live, it can be a huge savings of gas and time–for example, there is a Staples very close to me, but not an Office Depot. When OD offers their big Back to School deals, I can just pick up the same supplies at the Staples down the street.

It is nice when they will match prices. Our Target is not a SuperTarget, so only some of the deals will apply for me. Our WM has gotten so picky about what they will match and what they won't – for me, it's almost more hassle than it's worth. But for a place like Staples/Office Depot – that's a teacher's dream!! (And I am one!)
