Safeway this week 11/4

NOTE: Safeway deals are also applicable to their partner stores: Dominicks, Genuardis, Vons, Pavilions, Tom Thumb, Randalls, and Carrs. However, I base my write-up on the ad I receive in the Mid-Atlantic. Your prices and coupons may differ in your region of the country.

As I mentioned on Sunday, there is a LOT happening at Safeway this week. Remember that those specials run Sunday to Sunday. Here are some new things that start today:

Kohl's Cash (this appears to be regional--check your weekly ad) For every $50 spent in a single transaction between November 4-8, you get a $10 Kohl's Cash Catalina coupon at the register. The total is after club card savings and Safeway Store coupons but before manufacturer coupons. Kohl's reward may be redeemed at Kohl's in-store only between November 9-21. And while you're spending $50...

The weekly sales ad (pick one up in the store) has four coupons for FREE products when you spend $50 on Saturday or Sunday. You'll get a FREE Lucerne Large Eggs, FREE Safeway Orange Juice, FREE Safeway Bacon and FREE Safeway Cinnamon Bread.

Betty Crocker Cake Mix and Frosting are Buy 2, Get 3 Free. Both are priced at $1.79, so you'll pay $3.58 for five, or .72/each. Use the .50 off frosting coupon from the 10/25 paper, which doubles at some stores. There is also a .50 Shortcuts e-coupon when you buy both Cake Mix and Frosting and a .50 off frosting Cellfire e-coupon.

Kellogg's Mini Wheats are part of a Buy 3, Save $3 Mix & Match Sale*, but there's also a Catalina promo that gives you a coupon for a FREE Gallon of Milk when you buy 3 Mini Wheats. Mini Wheats are $2.00 when bought for the promo, so use one of the $1.50/2 coupons and you'll pay just $4.50 for four boxes and get a FREE Gallon of Milk (milk is usually around $3.69, so that's a good deal). *Note--this promo is Buy 4, Save $4 in other parts of the country.

Kashi Go Lean Crunch Cereal is $2.50 when bought in the Buy 3, Save $3 Cereal Promo. If you are a Vocalpoint member, you should have $1.50 off coupons for this. $1.00/box for Kashi is a great price!

Honey Nut Cheerios are $1.50 when bought in the Buy 3, Save $3 Cereal Promo. There is a .55 off printable coupon.

Kleenex 110ct Boxes are still .99. Use the $2.00/4 SuperCoupon and the $1.00/4 coupon from the 11/1 insert to get four boxes for .96.

Healthy Ones Lunchmeat is BOGO at $3.99. There was a .55 off coupon in the 10/18 paper.

Progresso Broth 32oz. Carton is BOGO at $3.19. There was a .50 off coupon in the 11/1 paper, this printable .50 off, and also a .50 Shortcuts e-coupon.

Safeway Frozen Waffles are $1.49. At this price, I'll pick up a box to keep in the freezer for weeks when there isn't time to make my own.

Thomas' Bagels & Muffins are $1.49 with in-ad Supercoupon, limit 10.

Ziploc Bags are $2.50. There are no coupons out right now, but when you buy 3 you can submit for that $5.00 SC Johnson rebate.

The Home for the Holidays Promo runs November 4 through November 29. With each $25 purchase of participating products, you'll receive a $5.00 off your next order Catalina coupon. Each week, you'll see sale products highlighted in the weekly ad, but check your store shelves for the gold/brown shelf tags indicating the participating items. I have a separate post that will highlight scenarios and results, but here are some matchups to get you started:
  • Betty Crocker Supreme Brownie Mix $2.00. Print a .75/2 coupon at BettyCrocker.com.
  • C&H 2lb. Brown or Powdered Sugar $1.69. There is a RedPlum printable coupon for .45/1 or .65/2 C&H Sugar; you'll need a Midwest zip code to print it.
  • Duncan Hines Brownie Mixes $1.00. There was a $1.00/3 coupon in the 10/11 paper.
  • Gold Medal Flour $1.50. Print a .50 off coupon here.
  • Hefty Easy Grip Cups or Plates are $1.50 and qualify for the $5.00 rebate if you purchased Snow White on DVD/Blu-Ray.
  • Nestle Baking Morsels $2.50. There was a $1.00/2 coupon in the 11/1 paper or you can print a .50/2 coupon here.
  • Safeway Sugar 5lb. Bag is $1.99. Great stock-up price with the promo savings!
As the weeks go on, be sure and check my Linky for scenarios and results. That will help you see which products are participating, the coupon matchups, and help you plan your shopping trip.

Add E-coupons to your Safeway card three different ways at Shortcuts, Cellfire, and P&G eSaver. You can also print paper coupons at Safeway.com. I have used manufacturer's coupons on products and still seen the e-coupon savings appear on the receipt.

For coupon matchups at stores nationwide, check out BeCentsAble's Grocery Gathering. For the other Mid-Atlantic chains like Wegmans and Harris Teeter, head over to Frugal in Virginia.

Is the Kohl's cash available in Northern VA, or is it only in places that were adverised?

the Kohls cash cat didn't print out for me. Was this just a regional thing? I'm in MD... (Ivy)

I just spent $50 at Safeway in Olney, MD. I received the $5 Catalina, but I did not get the $10 Kohl's cash. I asked the manager about it, and he didn't know anything about a Kohl's deal.

No Kohl's cash in Southeastern PA for me, but I did get a 15.00 rewards cat for purchasing 75.00. I'd rather have that anyhow!
