I file my receipts in a handy-dandy accordion folder. Why? Because I’m an anal-retentive freak convinced that I might need them someday. Every once in a while, this little quirk pays off For example:
Last week, when that Coors rebate (non-beer purchase) came out, I was ready. I went back through the past couple of grocery shopping trips and circled all of my deli meat, condiments, and Tostitos purchases and sent them in. I didn’t have to pay any more out of pocket, and I’ll get the $$ back. That works for me!
Do you hold onto your everyday (grocery, Target, etc.) receipts?
