I took advantage of some no-kid time this morning to hit the big grocery store deals I’ve mentioned in the past few days. First I went to Shoppers, where they’re offering Double Coupons to $1.00 and Triple Coupons to .50 through Sunday. Some things weren’t absolutely FREE but were still a good deal. I put the date of the insert in parentheses so you’ll know where I found the coupon:
- Uncle Ben’s Brown Rice was $1.99, so the doubled $1.00 off coupon (2/21) made it FREE.
- Dole Canned Pineapple was $1.00/can, so I used a $1.00/3 coupon (1/24) which doubled, making them only .33 each.
- Reach Dental Floss was $1.50, so the doubled $1.00 off coupon (3/7) made it FREE.
- Scotch Brite Sponges were $1.09 each, and I had a $1.00/2 coupon (3/7) which doubled, making them only .09 each.
- Act II Microwave Popcorn was marked for clearance at $1.45, so the .40 off coupon (2/28) tripled, making it only .25.
- Wesson Oil was $2.99, and I had a $1.00 off coupon (from a mailer) that doubled, making it .99.
- Reese’s Dark Chocolate was .79, so the .55 off coupon (3/14) made it FREE.
- Crest Kids’ Toothbrush was $2.50, so with the doubled $1.00 off coupon (2/7), it was .50.
- Oral-B Stages Toothpaste was $2.49, so the doubled $1.00 off coupon (2/7) made it .49.
- Sure Deodorant was marked for clearance at $2.20, so the doubled $1.00 off coupon (2/28) made it .20.
- Dixie Napkins were $2.99 and I had $1.00/2 coupons (1/24), not fantastic but a lot less expensive than usual. Plus, I can get $5 back via mail-in rebate when I buy $20 of participating Georgia-Pacific products.
- Mission Tortillas were $2.79, and I had a $1.00 off coupon (3/7) that doubled, so .79.
In total, I spent $15.38 for everything in the photo. That put me in a pretty good mood, and then I headed to Giant, where things got really interesting…
