Vistaprint has a great offer right now–140 FREE Address Labels and you only pay a little over $3.00 for shipping. There are hundreds of graphics and designs to choose from, so you can personalize them any way you’d like. If you don’t need return address labels right now, here are 10 ideas on how to use them more creatively:
- This book belongs to…Personalize a set of book labels for your child or for someone else as a thrifty gift.
- Homemade by…If you’re canning fruit this summer or gifting baked goods, add a personalized sticker for a special touch.
- The ___ Family. As you’re heading to summer potlucks and picnics, mark your bowls, platters and serving spoons with a label so you can retrieve your items later. I’ve also used these on DVDs and other items that we lend to friends and neighbors.
- Gift Tags. Make a set of personalized gift tags to use on gifts throughout the year or with a holiday theme for later. You can also choose a holiday image and write a simple greeting (like Thank You!), then stick the labels on cardstock or small gifties.
- We’ve Moved. Make a set of new address labels to give as a housewarming gift. They’ll appreciate it!
- Raffle Ticket Info…Our school does a silent auction once a year where you have to have your name and phone number on all the tickets, which is tough to do by hand when you’re trying to watch three kids in a crowd. If I have the stickers handy, I can have the kids help me stick them on the backs of the tickets.
- For your Organization. My MOMS Club loves ordering these freebies so we have stickers and labels for fundraisers and events where we’re promoting our club.
- Consignment Sale Tags. Before we went to a computerized tagging system, my twins club sale required index cards as each item’s tag, along with our last name. A set of sticky labels would have saved time!
- Your Child’s Name. Look at my cute apple labels! Kids (and silly moms) want to stick their name on everything. My son loves sticking his name on notebooks, artwork, and envelopes with notes for friends. These are also great for paper lunch sacks taken on picnics and to camp. In the fall, you can use them to label school supplies and more.
- Leave them Blank. Choose a theme/design that matches your next party, and leave the labels blank. Then you can use a Sharpie to write guest’s names on labels before affixing them to plastic cups, goody bags, etc.
If you haven’t ordered from Vistaprint before, their website is very easy to use. After you proof your labels, be sure and check “No, Thank You,” to the message about receiving emails and other offers, and use your “junk” email account when you order.
