Using Printable Coupons–Tips for Success

Today is the last day of the month–so it’s your last chance to print the September Coupons.com offerings before they change over tomorrow. I use printable coupons (also called IPs) on everything from groceries to toys to restaurants, and you can too! Here are my tips & tricks for using printable coupons:
  • To save money, I print my IP coupons in black & white only (save your color ink!). Use the “high quality” setting, however, to be sure they scan at the register. I also take advantage of the $1 or free reams of paper at Staples so I don’t spend much (if anything) on my printer paper.
  •  It is illegal to photocopy IP coupons. Each coupon will print 2 times per computer. If you need more than two coupons, use a different computer to print them.
  • Coupons.com coupons print 3 to a page, so make sure to choose your coupons in multiples of three to save paper. OR, you can run a single coupon, then re-insert the printer paper to use the other side.
  • Most IP coupons expire one month from when you print them, but others vary. Check yours when you print them!
  • Most IP coupons are offered for a month’s time, but some disappear when they run out of prints (meaning the company only released a certain number to print). You need to consider printing high-value coupons (like the current $3.00 off Huggies Diapers) right away instead of waiting until you need it.

These coupons will turn over tomorrow, so head to Coupons.com now to print yours.
