Grocery Savings Day 10: Serve Meatless Meals

I’m sharing 31 Days of Grocery Savings during the month of March so you can tackle your grocery spending and improve your family budget. See the roundup of video posts.

I have a “helper” home from school today, sitting to my left being very quiet:

Today’s strategy is: Serve Meatless Meals. Some of my family’s favorite egg-based meals are Broccoli Pie (I use this recipe but leave out the chicken), Italian Spinach Pie, and Savory Omelets with Rosemary Potatoes.

Make your family pizza night healthier with Homemade Pizza Crust and Homemade Sauce. Back when I ate gluten, I loved this Easy Manicotti recipe, or we’d eat vegetarian lasagna filled with spinach and zucchini.

My husband doesn’t like beans, so we don’t eat a lot of bean-focused recipes; obviously, that’s a great way to add low-fat protein to your meal that costs less than meat.

How do you stretch your food dollar with meatless meals?
