Sales Tax Holidays for School Supplies and Clothing

This weekend, August 3-5th, is Virginia’s Sales Tax Holiday for School Supplies and Clothing. Even if you do not have children attending school, it’s a good time to stock up on office supplies or preschool art supplies at back-to-school sale prices with no sales tax. Qualifying school supplies selling for $20 or less per item and clothing/footwear selling for $100 or less per item are exempt from sales tax. Check Virginia’s list of qualifiying items. I’ll be hosting a Back-to-School Twitter Party this Wednesday, August 1st, at 7:00pm EST. Hope you’ll join me at #taxfreeVA. You can RSVP on this post to be eligible to win Walmart gift cards!
