I was reading around today and read that Safeway no longer doubles coupons as of 8/1???! Have you hear/read anything about this and if it applies to prince William county and surrounding areas.
I am new to Just for U and have some questions that I hope you can answer.
1. I thought that when a personalized price said “unlimited” I could continue to get that price on multiple shopping trips until the expiration date. However, based on my shopping trip, I think it must only be for unlimited numbers of that product during ONE trip. Is that right? If so, I am disappointed. I didn’t stock up the first time because I was trying this all out…
2. Coupons on your card don’t double. So if it’s a doubling coupon, it’s better to present the paper one, correct?
3. Is there any indication Safeway will stop taking printed internet coupons now? I printed out a 40 cent yogurt coupon because I wanted it to double and the clerk asked me about putting it on my card.
OK… I am looking at my receipt again and think I see the problem. It is not my Safeway Card that was used.
COuld I have entered my phone number wrong? Major bummer!
Sorry, Amy! That would explain it. I’ve been swiping my card to be sure it’s the right account. You’re right about the digital coupons not doubling. I don’t think they won’t take IP coupons, they’re just really encouraging people to sign up for J4U right now.
