I just love chocolate, so when I was approached to host an UnReal Chocolate party to introduce friends to this new candy line, I was very excited! UnReal sent me a bunch of samples and asked me to share it with friends. Taste test chocolate? Yes, please! UnReal was created by a 13-year-old with his dad after a Halloween argument about how junky candy is, and why it’s so bad for you. For parents looking for no artificial colors, no corn syrup, and no preservatives–this is your candy!
We tried five kinds of UnReal candy–and loved them! My favorite was 54–the “peanut M&Ms” alternative. The colors are made with natural vegetable dyes (which you cannot taste), so the colors are less bright, but it tastes very similar. It was funny: both my kids and my friends were fine with the different colors on the candy coating; it was my husband who said, “Ew, weird!” One of my friends was excited about no corn syrup; since her daughter is allergic to corn, she can have UnReal this Halloween.
UnReal candy is UnJunked
UnReal has an average of 30% less sugar, 60% more fiber, and 250% more protein than the leading competing brands. They use real cane sugar, more cacao (why the chocolate tastes so great!), real milk, and no hydrogenated oils or fats. Take a look at how much less sugar is in the peanut butter cups (which I also loved):

Where can you buy UnReal? It’s sold at CVS, Rite Aid, Staples, BJ’s, and Kroger brand grocery stores. It’s launching in Target this month, and you’ll find it on the same shelves as competing brands and for the same price. Get more info about UnReal by following them on Facebook and Twitter. Thanks to my friends who shared their opinions on the UnReal Facebook page and by tweeting!
Have you tried UnReal? What did you think?
