Free 60-day Membership at BJ’s

Get a 60-day Trial Membership to BJ’s Wholesale Club by printing this coupon and taking it to your local BJ’s. I did their trial over the summer and loved the lower prices on milk, deli meat and gas. Milk gallons were $2.45 instead of the regular grocery store’s $3.99! I also found great prices on bulk items like almonds, and I know many who like the prices on diapers and formula. This offer is good until the end of 2011, so plan your 60-days with that in mind (maybe before the holiday entertaining season?).

Remember that you can use manufacturer’s coupons at BJ’s stacked with their store coupons. You can also use multiple coupons on the same package; for example–if you buy a 4-pack of toothpaste, you can use four .50 off one toothpaste coupons on that package. Their coupon policy states:

  • When purchasing a multi-pack of items at BJ’s, which is a set of items that could be sold individually (each item has a barcode) shrink-wrapped and sold together, shoppers can combine one BJ’s-issued coupon with manufacturers’ coupons. However, you cannot exceed the actual retail price in the total value of coupons. Examples of a multipack include a three-pack of toothpaste, two-pack of salad dressing or a three-pack of taco kits.
  • Members may also use one BJ’s coupon and one manufacturer’s coupon on a single item.
  • In terms of manufacturer’s coupons that are ‘buy one, get one free’ BJ’s will honor the coupon for items in stock as long as BJ’s price does not exceed the maximum value stated on the coupon.  If the manufacturer’s coupon does not state the maximum value then BJ’s can not honor the coupon.

NoVA Fall Consignment Sales 2011

Are you ready for another round of kid consignment sales? Shopping consignment sales is one of the main ways I save on kids’ clothes by buying used. Look for seasonal items like Halloween costumes, winter coats and boots, holiday dresswear and other items for pennies on the dollar compared to buying new.

Here are the major sales for the Northern Virginia area in order by sale date:

**That’s mine! I’ll be there shopping and volunteering. Come by and say hello!

For the Maryland side of DC and more sales, check the list at Our Kids. If you live in another part of the country, try Googling “consignment sale” and “multiples.” The sales done by multiples groups tend to be quite large and very organized. If you need some tips on how to approach these large sales, read my Shopping Consignment Sales. Happy Resale Shopping!

Staples is offering a FREE-after-rebate ream of HP Multipurpose Paper when you use this printable coupon in-store only through Saturday, April 23rd. Limit one per name/address/household.

You’ll pay $7.99 at the store and receive a receipt that you can submit online at the Staples Rebate Center. I love Staples’ Easy Rebates because it’s all done online, and they come quickly! You’ll receive a check in the mail within a couple of weeks.

I count on these FREE paper deals to help me save money on printing internet coupons. I always print in black & white, to save on ink, too!

      Hasbro Game Deals

I love finding printable coupons for toys as well as for groceries! Combine the printable Hasbro game coupons at Coupons.com and Hasbro’s PlaySaver with some store sales this week, then submit your receipt for a FREE Tombstone pizza using this printable form. Here’s what I see in this week’s sales ads:

Walmart has Candyland and Toy Story Operation on rollback for just $5.00. I used this printable $3.00 off coupon on Toy Story Operation and paid just $2 per game. These are great for the gift closet or to donate to Toys for Tots later in the year (don’t forget the batteries!).

Target has Candyland and Chutes and Ladders as Buy 1, Get 1 50% off, priced at $6.49. Buy two and use two printable $2.00 off coupons, and you’ll pay just $5.49 for both.

Toys R Us* has various Hasbro games on sale–Candyland, Chutes and Ladders, and others are on sale for $4.99. Use the printable $2.00 off coupon to bring the price down to $2.99. Sorry, Connect 4, and Operation are $8.99, and there’s a $3.00 off coupon.
*And while you’re at Toys R Us, they’re running their Fisher-Price BOGO sale this week. Buy one Fisher-Price toy priced $29.99+, get one priced up to $24.99 for FREE. Great deal!

Remember that you can price match each store’s ad at Walmart and Target. Instead of running around town, take one ad to Customer Service at another store, and save more money.

The limit on the Tombstone Pizza offer is 5 per household, and while you can submit one receipt with several games on it, you’ll need to complete a separate form for each game. Must be postmarked by May 15th, and you’ll receive your FREE pizza coupons by mail.

Staples is offering FREE Duracell Batteries after Staples Rewards. Look for the 20-packs of AA or AAA Duracell Batteries, which should be marked $12.99. This offer is good in-store only and runs through Saturday, April 2nd. Here’s how to get them FREE:

      1. Sign up for Staples Rewards if you haven’t already.
      2. Purchase either the AA or AAA Duracell Batteries. Be sure it’s the 20-pack; my store usually has them front-and-center when you walk in the door during deals like this. Limit 2 per customer per week.

I’ve been using the Staples Rewards program for years and have been very happy with it.

*Note: If you use any coupons or Rewards credit for the purchase, you’ll only receive the price after discounts.

      Grocery University 1-day Sale

      Grocery University couponing course
It took me years to hone my skills as a super shopper–not just to get freebie toothpaste and deodorant, but also to significantly reduce my grocery budget to our current $400-500/month for a family of five big eaters (no picky toddlers here!).

If you are couponing but find yourself still spending too much, or if you’re new to the idea of budgeting and saving significantly, you’ll find Grocery University incredibly helpful. Instead of taking weeks and months to learn the skills through blogs, you can have it all right now. Save yourself the learning curve with this audio series from Carrie Isaac at Springs Bargains.

Instant Digital Download of Grocery University

The Grocery University course includes 139 minutes of audio instruction and a 40-page student workbook (in PDF form) with even more tips, example scenarios, and visuals. You’ll also get a bonus 10-page price list that details stock-up prices, “won’t pay more than” prices, seasonality and sale price frequency.  Grocery University is on sale through Tuesday, March 1st for just $8.95 (a 65% discount). If you’re serious about saving money on your groceries and follow Carrie’s recommendations, you’ll easily earn that money back. Plus, she offers a 60-day guarantee, so you have nothing to lose. I’m looking forward to listening to it myself because I bet there are even things that I can learn!

It’s a new month! Time to clean out your coupon stash–weed out your 1/31 expired coupons, and consider sending them to military bases overseas. Then check out the new February printable coupons at Coupons.com. Here are some that stood out to me:

Remember that you get two prints per computer for most coupons, and that they print three per page. Read my tips on how to print IPs (internet-printable coupons) if you need more info.

            1. Login to your Ebates account and enter Kohls into the search window.
            2. Click on “Shop Now” to open a tracking ticket; that’s how Ebates keeps track of your cashback during the sale.

            4. By tomorrow, you’ll see your 2% cashback posted to your Ebates account, and if you ordered more than $25, you’ll also get your $5 Cash Bonus as a new Ebates shopper.

Whether you shop online a little or a lot, you can earn cash back every time you shop through Ebates. I love earning cashback on even small purchases like photos from Shutterfly and Snapfish (yes–you can earn cashback on your photos, too!). Every quarter, I earn a Big Fat Check (that’s what they call it) from Ebates.

*You’ll earn $5 in your account and so will I, when you make a purchase of $25 within 90 days.
