All of these recipes are big-time favorites at my house. My kids love them, and they go into the meal plan rotation often. I’ve marked recipes that are gluten-free with * whether it’s naturally GF or using substitute flours:

- Spaghetti and Meatballs; since that post, Mom told me to mix ground beef with ground turkey, and they come out even moister.

- Meatball Soup I love the combination of textures here, with the orzo, beans, spinach–yum!
- Mushroom Artichoke Chicken*
- Pesto Turkey Melts & Homemade Fries

- Stroganoff-Style Chicken
- Toddler-Spiced Chicken Fajitas

Vegetarian Meals:
- Baked Macaroni and Cheese Casserole
- Easy Baked Manicotti The addition of pesto makes these so yummy.
- Garbanzo & Artichoke Quinoa* (this is also good over rice or pasta)
- Gluten-Free Broccoli Rice Casserole*
- Homemade Pizza There are lots of options, but you save $10-20 over delivery pizza.
- Italian Spinach Pie*
- Portabello Fajitas
- “Real” Macaroni & Cheese
- Savory Omelets with Rosemary Potatoes*
- Spinach & Feta Pasta Salad I have probably made this 100 times, and it is always enjoyed by everyone (including the kids). I’ve used every kind of pasta, whatever I have available, and even whole wheat pasta on occasion.
- Spinach Rice Cakes*
- Vegetarian Baked Ziti
- Warm Spinach-Mushroom Salad*
Slow Cooker Recipes:
- Chicken Cacciatore* This is a great recipe where the kids can help make dinner. You do the chopping, they just throw everything in.
- Crockpot Broccoli & Beef* This is one of our absolute favorites from Stephanie’s site, and it’s way better than Chinese takeout.
- Crockpot Coq au Vin*
- Crockpot Turkey and Wild Rice Soup* Meant to be made with Thanksgiving leftovers (which I did and enjoyed), I’ve also done it on a regular weekday using chicken breast. Still delish!
- Garlic-Thyme Chicken* (super easy!)
- Homemade Chicken Broth*
- Leftovers Soup*
- Lemon & Dill Crockpot Chicken* Make sure you note that this only cooks 3-4 hours, or it will be all dried out (gee, how would I know?).
- Slow Cooker Italian Sloppy Joes*
- Slow Cooker Pulled Pork Sandwiches
- Sun-Dried Tomato and Feta Tri-Tip Roast* I couldn’t find “tri-tip” at any of the stores around here, so I bought a Round Roast instead.
- Tortilla Soup* This can be made vegetarian by omitting the chicken and using vegetable broth.
Breads and Baked Goods:
- Berry Breakfast Muffins
- Dill Ricotta Rolls
- French Baguettes in the bread machine
- Gluten-Free Coconut Macaroons*
- Gluten-Free Orange Cranberry Bread*
- Gluten-Free Pumpkin Cheesecake*
- Gluten-Free Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread*
- Herb Bread in the bread machine. This is my go-to last-minute recipe when I need bread for dinner. No dairy!
- Homemade Waffles
- Honey Wheat Mini Muffins These are soooo good right out of the oven. However, they’re not as great the next day, they get a little dense. So eat them while they’re fresh!
- Pumpkin Pancakes
- Whole Wheat Banana Muffins
- Whole Wheat Bread. I make the dough in the bread machine, then turn it into a greased bread pan and bake it in the oven for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. It comes out more evenly than in the bread machine; you don’t end up with the dense part at the bottom.
- Whole Wheat Cinnamon Mini Muffins
- Whole Wheat Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins
Miscellaneous:
- Artichoke and Spinach Dip* Can I have my own bowl?
- Black Bean and Corn Salsa*
- Cake Mix Cookies
- Cheese Ball Recipes*
- Cheesy Broccoli Casserole This was a huge hit at Thanksgiving.
- Double-Layer Pumpkin Pie This was more interesting than a regular pumpkin pie, plus the white layer makes it fluffy instead of dense like regular pie.
- Fancy Brownie Cups
- Gluten-Free Ginger Snaps*
- Gluten-Free Protein Bars*
- Gluten-Free Pumpkin Cheesecake*
- Gluten-Free Coconut Macaroons*
- Homemade Fries*
- Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes* These were great for Thanksgiving. It saved a lot of time and trouble in the kitchen to just take them out and reheat in the Crockpot.
- Pesto Turkey Roll-ups (my kids’ favorite lunch!)
- Roasted Spiced Chickpeas*
- Rosemary Potatoes*
- String Cheese Pencils
- Unfried Fries* with Italian Dressing
- Whole Wheat Waffles
