Bringing Money In: November

This month is pretty low, I think, but I suppose that makes sense with the amount of illness and chaos we’ve had the past few months. I certainly haven’t had the time or energy to do any more than keep us all together! If you’re interested in learning more about bringing money in, please look back through this year’s posts. You’ll see how I’ve earned extra money selling on Ebay and Craigslist, by submitting rebates, getting gift cards through pharmacy coupons and Swagbucks, and more.

For the month of November, my extra income was $373.91 and came from the following:

  • Ebates: I got a “big fat check” (that’s what they call it) from Ebates for $81.45. Ebates gives you cash back for your online purchases–see the banner below.
  • Gift Cards: I got two $10 Gift Cards at CVS with new prescriptions. I suppose that’s the only bright side to everyone being so sick! I also received a $30 Macy’s Gift Card in the mail for participating in the March of Dimes Walk for Babies last spring.
  • Blog Income: I received $177.46 in blog earnings. What a difference from last month!
  • Swagbucks: I redeemed $55 in Amazon GCs that I’ve earned through Swagbucks over the year. By using my credit on items I would spend real money on (like books for birthday gifts), I’m actually reducing my family budget expenses. I also got a $10 Starbucks Gift Card from Swagbucks.

I’m sitting on a lot of consignment sale items for next spring’s sale, but now there are 9 guests coming to stay in December (don’t get me started) so I’m feeling crunched for space. I want to try to unload some items on Craigslist in the next week and get back some basement space AND some cash. That’s my goal for December, along with sticking to a holiday budget and cooking ahead to prep for the madness. I hope to post about feeding large crowds successfully; hopefully I will handle it all with a smile.

*When you sign up for Ebates and make a purchase, you’ll earn $5 in your account and so will I.
